Gena,
It is the first night here and it has already been too long. However, your picture keeps me set on staying and seeing this through. They haven't let us change into our tennis shoes yet and it is almost 10 pm. My feet hurt! We checked in around 4pm and then got some our issue stuff. $324 of stuff that I don't need. Whatever. I am kind of wondering how hard this will get. I mean I know they say it is really hard and especially with this whole sleep thing. Right now it isn't even that late and I am spacing out. I also have to write an 800-word minimum autobiography. So I am wiriting about you and the girls right now and it is making me a little sad. However, this is my new home. That is what I tell myself so I won't think I am going to end up laying in bed in Mankato when I wake up from this dream. It is just too wild that I am here.

Midnight and still in polos and dress shoes. Hmm...Well, light are at 0415, need more sleep.

Candidate Disney

Hey everyone - here's a succint update of our recent happenings:


Adam:
-Worked this summer on active duty as a recruiter's aid here in Mankato
-Made the decision to apply for Officer Candidacy
-Left for Officer's Candidate School on 09/21/07 (Bryna's Bday)
-Graduates 11/30/07

Bryna:
-Started 1st Grade at Roosevelt Elementary this fall
-Is active in the AWANA program at Ev. Covenant Church
-Joined the Mankato Marlins Swim team..we'll see how it goes! 4 practices a week and 2 meets a month
-Has a new chore of walking our doggy, Charlie first thing after school
-Turned 7 last Friday

Livia:
-Turning 3 Oct 31
-Loves all things pink!!
-Speaking very well - big vocabulary! (such as "actually", "sometimes", "maybe")
-Planning a Pink, Pumpkin-Painting Party for her Bday (she'll let the boys use blue, but only because she love Thomas the Train)
-Wants to be just like her big sister in every way.

Gena:
-Still working for Krengeltech about 35 hours a week
-Refinished beautiful birch kitchen cabinets this summer
-Working on getting ready for a big garage sale in October
-Next project: rip off wallpaper/fake tile in entry and kitchen and re-paint.
-Attending a womens' small group on Mondays. I love it!
