We are bursting with excitement (well I am anyway) over Adam's accomplishments. There is no doubt in my mind that God has us right where he wants us.

Adam SWEPT all the awards. He received #1 overall (comes with a letter of commendation), #1 academic award/ certificate of achievement, and the Warrior Award - as nominated by his peers for outstanding motivation/integrity/dedicationleadership. Capt. Hessner said something to the affect of – “you can fool us, but you can’t fool your peers so this one (the warrior award) is the one that counts."

Afterward we had the opportunity to talk a bit with his instructors along w/ Captain and the leading Gunnery Sgt. They had great words for Adam and our family. What a great finish to this chapter.

Hi, everyone.

We're gearing up for a busy week as we head back to Minnesota on Friday. We did most of our packing over the weekend. Feels good to have that out of the way. It helps when you don't have much to pack!!

Adam will graduate from OMTS tomorrow at the top of his class. We're still crossing our fingers for a meritorious promotion to Corporal, but even if he doesn't get that - he'll still recieve his 3rd letter of commendation, in this case for academic achievement. Needless to say - the girls and I are incredibly proud of him.

Our Bryna will "graduate" from Kindergarten on Thursday. They have a lot of fun things planned for the kids, including a Teddy Bear Picnic and a field day. We're so glad that her foot is now completely healed up, so she can fully participate.

Early Friday morning we'll wave goodbye to our desert home and make our way (13 hours later) to Albuquerque, NM - our first stop. Nine hours later on Saturday we'll stop in Kansas City, MO - and finally on Sunday, only a six hour stretch to our "Green" house on Carney Ave. Many hugs will be distributed at that time to Grandma, Grandpa and the kitties.

We are so glad we took the opportunity to embark on this California adventure. It has been one of the best experiences for our family - in so many ways.
